Thirty-three Per Cent Hike for Daily Wage Earners

In a significant policy shift, favouring the workers of the unorganised sector, the Delhi government has announced an increase in daily wages by 33 per cent. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting on 8 March 2009.

The International Labour Organisation`s (ILO`s) agenda of decent work for all has evolved into a very unique country programme, with India to not only ensure decent work environment for the working class but also ending child labour in the country.
